Quicktron X Tonghui
At the end of 2023, Quicktron Robotics successfully delivered a new project for Shaanxi Tonghui Automotive Logistics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tonghui Logistics"), assisting the company in achieving a comprehensive upgrade of its logistics operations in the commercial vehicle sector. As a provider of "lean integrated logistics" solutions, Tonghui Logistics not only handles Shaanxi Automobile Logistics' warehousing, distribution, and parts consolidation for its subsidiaries but has also established 8 specialized material distribution centers and 360 distribution points across over 70 cities in 23 provinces nationwide. This collaboration with Quicktron aims to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce logistics costs, and build a modern intelligent logistics system.
Project Background and Challenges
Tonghui Logistics' traditional logistics model faced challenges such as low efficiency, high costs, and frequent picking errors. To address these issues, Quicktron developed a tailored solution. The project covers an area of 5,000 square meters, spread across two buildings, managing more than 3,000 types of materials. By using small, independent racks, Quicktron robots automatically transport goods to operators, transforming the process from "man searching for goods" to "goods brought to people."

- Lowered Operational Costs: The application of automation technology reduced waste across various stages, leading to a significant reduction in overall operational costs.
Highlights and Advantages
Efficient, Labor-Saving Human-Robot Collaboration
Quicktron robots lift small, independent racks and automatically transport goods to operators, achieving the highly efficient "goods-to-person" operation model. This solves issues such as low efficiency, high costs, and frequent picking errors associated with traditional "person-to-goods" operations. Through the use of vehicles instead of conveyor lines and human-robot collaboration, the project has succeeded in reducing staffing and increasing efficiency while ensuring timely delivery.
Business Process Reorganization and Cycle Time Compression
By reorganizing business processes, the waste from repetitive manual searching, frequent walking, and handling was eliminated. Robots seamlessly integrate with external devices like PDAs, transfer machines, lift machines, conveyors, and switches, ensuring automated and efficient operations. This integration enables picking and delivery to be unified, transforming serial operations into parallel operations, significantly reducing work cycles and improving on-time delivery capabilities.

Human-Machine Engineering Optimization and Elimination of Action Wastes
By fully applying ergonomics principles to optimize operational scenarios, Quicktron has implemented measures such as wearable scanning devices, automatic barcode stripping printers, and shelf A/B orientation management. These initiatives eliminate action waste, such as scanning gun handling, manual barcode stripping, and the movement required to retrieve materials from distant shelves, maximizing efficiency in various operational scenarios.
Intelligent System Integration and Error-Proofing Measures
Through the integration of MES (Manufacturing Execution System), WMS (Warehouse Management System), and WCS (Warehouse Control System), Tonghui Logistics has achieved EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transmission of business data. Multiple software and hardware error-proofing measures have been implemented, enabling efficient parallel operations and preventing sorting delays and picking errors.

Setting a New Benchmark in the Commercial Vehicle Industry
By applying Quicktron's AGV robots and automation technology, Tonghui Logistics has successfully achieved an intelligent transformation in warehousing and logistics, significantly improving picking and distribution efficiency while reducing operational costs. This project has not only enhanced Tonghui Logistics' competitiveness but has also set a new benchmark for intelligent logistics in the commercial vehicle industry.
