Quicktron X Tianjin SLC
Tianjin SLC Supply Chain operates a medical device warehouse that provides storage and distribution services for various medical equipment manufacturers and distributors. On January 31, 2024, the Quicktron Robotics automated warehouse project officially went live at the SLC facility. From the arrival of the equipment to project go-live, the robot deployment and commissioning were completed on an accelerated schedule.
This marks the first deployment in China of Quicktron’s QuickBin solution featuring suction-based bin-picking robots, setting a new benchmark in the industry. The system significantly improves both space utilization and labor efficiency, delivering a high-performance and scalable warehousing solution for the healthcare supply chain.

Solution and Benefits
QuickBin Solutions
The QuickBin® solution deployed in this project features a dual-robot collaboration between the suction-based bin picker robot C56A and the bin mover robot M5B. By integrating Quicktron’s WES with the client’s WMS, the system optimized warehouse layout and material flow, significantly enhancing operational efficiency.
Since going live, the solution has achieved impressive results:
- Picking and outbound speed: 100 totes/hour
-
Empty tote inbound and outbound speed: 104 totes/hour
-
This seamless coordination ensures a smarter and more efficient warehousing process, tailored for the high standards of the medical device industry.

Smart Inbound, Outbound, Inventory, and Sorting Operations
Quicktron’s QuickBin® not only enables high-efficiency picking and distribution, but also brings full automation to inbound, outbound, inventory, and sorting operations for Tianjin SLC’s medical device warehouse. Powered by advanced AI algorithms and coordinated robot execution, every process is streamlined and automated—driving a major leap in operational efficiency.
1. Smart Inbound
Through seamless integration between Quicktron’s WES and the client’s WMS, AGV robots execute intelligent inbound storage. As the WMS sends inbound instructions, the robots accurately place goods in designated storage locations.
2. Smart Outbound
For outbound tasks, the WMS pushes outbound orders, and the WES dispatches the ACV robot to retrieve goods from storage. These are then sorted, packed, and shipped via workstations—significantly increasing outbound efficiency.
3. Smart Inventory and Sorting
QuickBin® incorporates RFID inventory robots and intelligent software that enable automated inventory checks and sorting. By scanning and recognizing item information, robots ensure fast and accurate inventory control while minimizing human error and improving warehouse accuracy.
4. Intelligent Scalability
The QuickBin® system is both efficient and scalable. As business grows, more mobile robots can be added without disrupting operations. The system adapts to evolving workflows and application scenarios—providing ongoing competitive advantage through intelligent operation and seamless scalability.
Innovative & Proven Suction Technology
The suction module has long been a mature solution in robotic arms. Quicktron is the first to apply suction to bin-picking robots—specifically designed for handling standardized plastic and cardboard totes.
The suction module has passed Quicktron’s industry-grade durability test for bin robots:
1.44 million cycles over six months (based on 100 picks/hour, 8 hours/day, 360 days/year for 5 years).
It delivers a 99.95% first-pick success rate, and the relevant patents have been officially granted—setting a new benchmark for suction-based robotic picking.

Advantages of QuickBin in the Healthcare Industry
Boosted Warehouse Management Efficiency The QuickBin system has brought intelligent and efficient warehouse operations to Tianjin SLC’s medical device facility. It reduces human errors and greatly improves the accuracy of inventory management.
Lower Operational Costs With automation and smart technologies, the need for manual labor is significantly reduced—cutting warehousing and logistics costs. The system’s high-efficiency performance shortens order processing times and enhances overall customer satisfaction.
Stronger Competitive Edge QuickBin not only improves operational performance but also strengthens business competitiveness. Its successful deployment has positioned Tianjin SLC as a benchmark in medical logistics, attracting interest from many leading companies in the industry.
